Project Daisy – NHS Care Home

Project Daisy is a nine bedroom special care unit built through a contract that Beard Construction held with the NHS.  Built to attain PassivHaus standards of performance, in particular air tightness.

What We Did

Frederick Mackintosh was contracted to provide Nudura installation services.  Over 1000 square metres of Nudura was fitted along with the Nudura insert system, designed to boost the performance of the standard block to achieve U values of 0.11.  Detailing around openings was specified to contribute to the building’s air permeability performance; the time laps video below shows the heat activated system being installed.
